It is also proposed to give a donation to local Brownies for their outing\/camp.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The plant sale, which is organised by Musselburgh Horticultural Society, was held at St Michael\u2019s Church Hall in Dalrymple Loan last Saturday morning.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Eve Dickinson, society president, said: \u201cThe annual Musselburgh Horticultural Society plant sale passed too all too quickly, with everyone having a great time and acquiring some lovely plants.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThere was a huge selection of really good quality home-grown perennials,\u00a0fruit, vegetables and herbs\u00a0in addition to our annuals plant order from Ballantyne nursery.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThe early bird entry for Musselburgh Horticultural Society members and Blue Badge holders worked really well and there were plenty of plants for everyone, as we had carefully put aside for later visitors.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;It was much pleasanter for everyone without the huge crowds of buyers vying to get in there first.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  She stressed that money raised at the event would help Cycling Without Age Musselburgh\u2019s fundraising campaign to replace two trishaws \u2013 specially designed three-wheeled bikes which are used to give free rides to people who are less mobile.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Mrs Dickinson said: \u201cThe number of visitors was less than last year, perhaps due to the \u00a32 entry, which nonetheless raised a generous amount for Cycling Without Age.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe sold out of perennials completely by 11.45am and only had a few of the annuals left over, which we sold of at cost price at the end of the plant sale.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The society\u2019s next events is its \u201cgrand day out\u201d to Hopetoun Garden Centre and Falkland Palace, with high tea at The Carnock Inn.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Thoughts are also now moving to the annual flower and craft show on August 15.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The show schedule and\u00a0booking form can be found on the society\u2019s website at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/musselburghhortsoc.org.uk\/annual-flower-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">musselburghhortsoc.org.uk\/annual-flower-show<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Paper copies of the schedule are available later this month from Blueberry gifts, Musselburgh Library and the Hollies Community Hub.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Cycling Without Age Musselburgh is expected to benefit from a &#8220;generous amount&#8221; of funding and it is hoped&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":964255,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[8816],"tags":[748,1102,4884,712,16,15],"class_list":{"0":"post-964254","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-edinburgh","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-edinburgh","10":"tag-great-britain","11":"tag-scotland","12":"tag-uk","13":"tag-united-kingdom"},"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@uk\/116584655589115092","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/964254","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=964254"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/964254\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/964255"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=964254"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=964254"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=964254"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
