The King’s Foundation has unveiled a list of 35 “changemakers” under the age of 35 to mark the charity’s 35th anniversary – and included a man who was previously arrested and acquitted<\/a> for glueing himself to the floor six years ago.<\/p>\n

Formerly known as the Prince’s Foundation, the charity was established to bring together some of Charles’s earlier charitable initiatives from as early as 1990<\/a>. It is separate from the King<\/a>‘s Trust, which focuses on supporting vulnerable young people aged 11 to 30.<\/p>\n

The individuals who were selected were selected for their contributions across various creative fields and for their potential as future leaders in their respective disciplines.<\/p>\n

Jack Harries, who has more than 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube, 31, was arrested during an Extinction Rebellion protest after gluing his hands to a hotel door at a petroleum conference in London in 2019.<\/p>\n

He was later acquitted of criminal damage and aggravated trespass charges.<\/p>\n

Just one year after his arrest, Jack and his twin brother, Finn established Earthrise Studio. Their media company focuses their work on environmental issues.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on his journey, Jack\u2014who has interviewed well-known figures, including Sir David Attenborough\u2014has previously said: “We spent a few years going on Extinction Rebellion protests, but our friends and family didn’t want to go on the marches; it all felt a bit extreme.”<\/p>\n

According to the King’s Foundation, Jack was selected due to his work as a “storyteller who uses media to spotlight urgent global issues” – with approach to “blend art and activism, aiming to spark conversation, inspire action and redefine what it means to be a creator in the 21st century.”<\/p>\n

The list also features Barnaby Horn, an award-winning milliner from Leeds who previously worked in a supermarket before graduating from the Royal College of Art, and Kyle Frank, who developed a skincare range after suffering with acne as a teenager.<\/p>\n

Freya de Lisle, an apprentice stonemason at York Minster, and Marie Bruhat, a knitwear designer raising 65 sheep on Fair Isle, also made the list.<\/p>\n
