{"id":96453,"date":"2025-05-12T22:32:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-12T22:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/96453\/"},"modified":"2025-05-12T22:32:09","modified_gmt":"2025-05-12T22:32:09","slug":"extinction-rebellion-member-hailed-by-king-charless-charity-despite-arrest-royal-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/96453\/","title":{"rendered":"Extinction Rebellion member hailed by King Charles&#8217;s charity despite arrest | Royal | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-mce-linkchecker-status=\"valid\">The King&#8217;s Foundation has unveiled a list of 35 &#8220;changemakers&#8221; under the age of 35 to mark the charity&#8217;s 35th anniversary &#8211; and included a man who was previously <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/uk\/1117326\/extinction-rebellion-protests-arrests-london-met-police-climate-change-activists\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arrested and acquitted<\/a> for glueing himself to the floor six years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Formerly known as the Prince&#8217;s Foundation, the charity was <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/royal\/2008751\/king-charles-king-foundation-organic-farming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">established to bring together some of Charles&#8217;s earlier charitable initiatives from as early as 1990<\/a>. It is separate from the <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"King Charles III\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/king-charles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">King<\/a>&#8216;s Trust, which focuses on supporting vulnerable young people aged 11 to 30.<\/p>\n<p>The individuals who were selected were selected for their contributions across various creative fields and for their potential as future leaders in their respective disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>Jack Harries, who has more than 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube, 31, was arrested during an Extinction Rebellion protest after gluing his hands to a hotel door at a petroleum conference in London in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>He was later acquitted of criminal damage and aggravated trespass charges.<\/p>\n<p>Just one year after his arrest, Jack and his twin brother, Finn established Earthrise Studio.
