Caldicot Castle has beautiful grounds and will be full of fantastic food this late May bank holiday\"A<\/p>\n

A world of street food will be on offer at the Norman castle<\/p>\n

This coming May bank holiday weekend you could sit at home with nothing to do or….. you could visit a massive Welsh castle and eat some of of the country’s best street food. On May 22-25 The Big Banquet rolls into Caldicot Castle for the late May bank holiday weekend promising a weekend of feasting, fun, and a full-on festival atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The Norman castle is set amongst tranquil gardens and a wooded country park. The castle has a romantic and colourful history, having been a stronghold in the Middle Ages and later being restored as a Victorian family home.<\/p>\n

Among the street food line-up at the castle are 2024 British Street Food Awards Champions Pasta-a-Mano and 2021 British Street Food Awards People\u2019s Choice winners, Keralan Karavan.<\/p>\n

And if you missed them at Forest Feastival earlier this spring,<\/a> Hang Fire BBQ’s Sam and Shauna are returning to Street Food Circus for the Big Banquet 2026. The authors, TV presenters and recent Jamie Oliver collaborators, started out alongside Street Food Circus as the street food scene started to grow in Wales 12 years ago and are returning with a menu of their \u2018greatest hits\u2019 at selected SFC events this year.<\/p>\n

Caldicot Castle <\/p>\n

The Big Banquet is suitable for all ages, and the event includes a free kids\u2019 circus school<\/a>, Big Bubble Disco, Kiss my Putt crazy golf, Let\u2019s Make Art crafting and Mushy P\u2019s musical mayhem for kids. Street Food Circus star Chris Bullzini is also bringing a new \u2018Silly King\u2019 show, perfect for the castle setting. After dark, the Pembrokeshire<\/a> Fire Spinners will be lighting up the evening with a spectacular fire show.<\/p>\n

This year, Big Banquet will also feature Street Food Circus\u2019 new Little Kooks Club designed for younger festival-goers. Members have access to additional activities around the site and get a backpack to take home with challenges, ideas and stories inspired by the circus to keep them cooking, creating and playing with food. Kid\u2019s tickets (under 16s) for the event are free, with the option to join the Little Kooks Club for an additional fee when booking.<\/p>\n
