Xbox’s dashboard ads have long been a bit of a sore point amongst the fanbase. We see complaints about them crop up in waves \u2014 especially if a particularly annoying advert keeps appearing for various folks<\/a> \u2014 and today, one particular fan has begun pleading to new boss Asha Sharma<\/a> to be rid of these irrelevant Xbox adverts.<\/p>\n

This time, the source of frustration is a new McDonald’s<\/a> ad that’s begun appearing on the Xbox home screen – for a Spicy McCrispy, if you must know. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a dashboard advert for the popular fast food chain<\/a>, but it’s certainly riled this Xbox fan up:<\/p>\n

Some of the responses here do have a few suggestions for their fellow, frustrated Xbox fan. One Reddit<\/a> user suggests switching off personalised ads for a more Xbox product-focused ad experience; a suggestion someone else has agreed with<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n

Either way, the original poster has made their point clear to Asha Sharma that they don’t want to see things like this anymore – and it of course remains to be seen if the new Xbox boss sees \u2014 and would potentially respond to \u2014 something like this. She’s certainly been active online during the beginning of her new role<\/a>, so you never know!<\/p>\n

In the meantime though, it’s probably worth giving the above suggestion a whirl if this sort of thing is annoying you at the moment. It can’t hurt trying it to see if you spot more gaming-centric ads on the Xbox dashboard as a result.<\/p>\n
