The number of names linked with a move to Leeds United this summer is quickly growing with Daniel Farke\u2019s side expected to spend big on a wealth of new talent, now promoted.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds<\/a> are back in the Premier League<\/a> but with the growing chasm between the Championship<\/a> and the top tier, The 49ers<\/a> know they will need to spend. Paraag Marathe has promised to spend every penny<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At least, within the rules. Leeds therefore will not follow the example set by other clubs in which they have spent too much in order to survive in the Premier League \u2013 and accept a points deduction down the line.<\/p>\n

Leeds will be looking to sign a goalkeeper, centre-back, left-back, midfielder, Manor Solomon or a new winger, a no.10 and a proven Premier League striker. Links with Max Aarons<\/a> then, come as a surprise.<\/p>\n

Aarons, of course, was a player that came through and made his name at Norwich under none other than Daniel Farke<\/a>. A player Farke has admiration for, but a player that perhaps Leeds do not need right now.<\/p>\n

Jayden Bogle\u2019s mercurial form in the second half of the season has surely convinced Leeds that they do not need to strengthen at right-back this summer, unless it is to bring in back-up for the \u00a35m signing.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Leeds have been listed as a suitor for Aarons<\/a>, along with other clubs like Sheffield United and Victor Orta\u2019s Sevilla. David Prutton<\/a>, though, thinks Aarons should choose Chris Wilder\u2019s Blades.<\/p>\n

Prutton told FLW<\/a>: \u201cI think you\u2019d have to wait and see which division Sheffield United could be in at the start of next season. But I still think he\u2019s got plenty to prove and has plenty of unfinished business.<\/p>\n

It was nearing the transfer deadline back in the summer of 2023, Farke\u2019s first summer at Elland Road<\/a> as manager. Leeds were closing in on a \u00a312m move to sign Aarons<\/a> from Norwich, a reunion with Farke.<\/p>\n

But at the last minute, with Aarons said to be travelling north, Bournemouth made a late swoop and off he popped to Bournemouth. A \u00a37m<\/a> move that has not worked out for Aarons, playing just 27 times.<\/p>\n

He joined Carlos Corberan\u2019s rejuvenated Valencia on loan in January 2025, but has managed only three more appearances. Aarons will be on the move this summer and while Leeds are linked, it feels unlikely.<\/p>\n

Sheffield United do need a right-back having played Hamza Choudhury out of position there and signing Harry Clarke on loan from Ipswich.
