Meghan Markle<\/a> has once again found herself at the center of royal controversy following critics accusing her of being obsessed with her royal ties and also profiting from them.<\/p>\n

According to Radar Online, Meghan, 44, stepped back from royal duties alongside her husband, Prince Harry, 41, in 2020 and moved to California to take on a new life with their kids. However, fresh accusations say she\u2019s still clinging to her royal status for business gains.<\/p>\n

The latest uproar erupted after Sky News presenter Samara Gill accused Meghan of being fixated on royal prestige, saying she\u2019s \u201cobsessed\u201d with using royal ties to build her brand. Gill made the comments on the podcast Danica Goes Global, accusing Meghan of trying to revive a \u201cPrincess\u201d title even after stepping back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she does want the validation, but she also wants to continue to coast off the royal titles, and I think that’s been one of the most damning and heartbreaking things for the royal family to have to witness \u2013 her secretly using some of the titles in letter headings, and then them finding out about it,\u201d Gill said. \u201cShe\u2019s obsessed with the royal family, and she\u2019s obsessed… with the cash grab that she can make off it,\u201d Gill added.<\/p>\n

A royal insider also claimed there\u2019s growing frustration inside palace circles, with some believing Meghan still wants the benefits and visibility of royal life but without the responsibility. \u201cThey think she continues using the royal connection because it\u2019s still her golden ticket,\u201d the source explained. \u201cWhat irritates traditionalists most is that Meghan publicly criticizes the monarchy while quietly profiting off it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sussex name debate flared again as well. \u201cAnd you know, it\u2019s not Meghan Markle \u2013 it\u2019s Meghan Sussex,\u201d Gill sneered. She went on: \u201cThat infamous moment with Mindy Kaling when she said her name was now \u2018Sussex\u2019 – it never really took off.\u201d Gill slammed Meghan and Harry as \u201cgig economy Royals,\u201d claiming they want all the perks without the full commitment. \u201cIt\u2019s about service, dignity, and respect for your nation,\u201d she said. Another source added that Meghan\u2019s latest moves only fuel suspicions she still craves the royal spotlight.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen she\u2019s doing a branding push or a tour, it\u2019s like she\u2019s trying to be a celebrity royal,\u201d the insider said. And De Giorgio couldn\u2019t resist a jab, adding: \u201cWhen she was in Australia, she said, \u2018Just call me Meg.\u2019 But then in other places, it\u2019s \u2018Meghan Sussex.\u2019 It\u2019s all just so wild.\u201d<\/p>\n

Critics argue Meghan continues to rely on royal associations in public appearances, while some say she\u2019s still chasing fame at any cost.<\/p>\n
