Ryan Mason and Rob Edwards also on the shortlist at Rangers.

Davide has worked alongside his father in coaching roles at several clubs including Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton and UEFA A coaching licence in 2016 and followed his dad to Bayern, where he worked as his assistant boss.

He then served as assistant at Napoli in the 2018/19 season before moving to England where Ancelotti Sr was Everton boss from 2019 to 2021.

Davide then went back to Madrid in the summer of 2021, this time as assistant to his dad, before obtaining his UEFA Pro Licence in July 2023.

It could therefore be a summer of change for both members of the family as Carlo is set to leave Madrid.

The Italian will become the new manager of the Brazil national team,
