{"id":967016,"date":"2026-05-17T17:15:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-17T17:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/967016\/"},"modified":"2026-05-17T17:15:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-17T17:15:15","slug":"budding-thespians-take-a-peek-at-life-behind-the-curtain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/967016\/","title":{"rendered":"Budding thespians take a peek at life behind the curtain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\tTHE NEXT generation of thespians had a taste of life in the professional arts world during a visit to Birmingham Rep.<\/p>\n<p>The Year 10 Performing Arts from Cockshut Hill School visited the theatre as the final stage of their in-depth studies on Mary Shelley\u2019s Frankenstein.\n<\/p>\n<p>Working in a proper rehearsal space alongside a professional actor, they were immersed in the kind of environment that shapes careers in the arts \u2014 developing their craft, responding to professional direction, and seeing first-hand how the skills they have been building in school translate into the wider creative world.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Jody Clarke, principal at Cockshut Hill School, said: \u201cThis was a fantastic opportunity for our Year 10 students to step outside the classroom and experience the performing arts in a real, professional setting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking alongside a professional actor in a proper rehearsal space brought their Frankenstein studies to life in a way that simply isn\u2019t possible within school walls.
