{"id":967559,"date":"2026-05-17T23:34:19","date_gmt":"2026-05-17T23:34:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/967559\/"},"modified":"2026-05-17T23:34:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-17T23:34:19","slug":"mayor-tells-tourism-heroes-to-enter-west-midlands-tourism-awards-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/967559\/","title":{"rendered":"Mayor tells tourism heroes to enter West Midlands Tourism Awards 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aiir-c-news-figure__image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/688a8f2559f3c.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            Applications for the 2027 West Midlands Tourism Awards are now open, with businesses and organisations encouraged to put themselves forward and showcase their achievements.\n        <\/p>\n<p>Now in their seventh year, the awards recognise excellence across the region\u2019s visitor economy, celebrating outstanding accommodation providers, cultural and sporting venues, food and drink experiences, and visitor and heritage attractions across a wide range of categories<\/p>\n<p>Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands, said: \u201cThere are so many reasons to visit the West Midlands but the real heroes are the people who create such unforgettable experiences for the millions of visitors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They\u2019ve made our region more popular than ever, talking about our history and heritage, running exciting entertainment venues and staging world-class sports and cultural events.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every one of them should feel proud of the role they play in building our national and global reputation. That\u2019s why it\u2019s important they put themselves forward for these awards and win the recognition they deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The West Midlands Tourism Awards shine a spotlight on individuals, teams, and organisations making a significant contribution to tourism across the region, helping to strengthen its reputation as a leading destination for both domestic and international visitors.<\/p>\n<p>They are free to enter and will be judged by independent industry leaders, with the entry deadline for 16 of the 17 categories set for 13 July.
