Leeds United<\/a> signed off at Elland Road in style after defeating Brighton 1-0 in their final home game of the campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a game that lacked quality, United, as they have done on so many occasions this season, kept the game tight with some resolute defending before nicking a last-minute winner.<\/p>\n

Dominic Calvert-Lewin<\/a> managed to net his 14th Premier League goal of the season in the 95th minute. He latched onto a sloppy backpass from Jan Paul van Hecke before rounding Bart Verbruggen.<\/p>\n

Roy Keane praises Calvert-Lewin for \u201cdoing what all good strikers do\u201d against Brighton<\/p>\n

Speaking after the game on Sky Sports<\/a>, Roy Keane was extremely complimentary of Calvert-Lewin and the season he has had in West Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke\u2019s<\/a> side would be forgiven for being on the beach against Brighton, who will play in Europe next season. However, they put in another tremendous performance despite missing numerous key players.<\/p>\n

United scored with what was their only shot on target during the whole game, with Keane analysing Calvert-Lewin\u2019s strike post-match<\/p>\n

\u201cDecision making, I\u2019m not sure what the goalkeeper\u2019s doing with the backpass. Credit to Leeds, they stuck with it, good spirit, never gave up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it was their first shot on target, Calvert-Lewin doing what all good strikers do and chasing lost causes, and they get their reward. Brighton will be kicking themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a signing he\u2019s been, Calvert-Lewin on a free, he\u2019s done brilliantly,\u201d Keane said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The game epitomised what Leeds have been about this season, hard working and energetic, even when they don\u2019t possess the most quality at times. Although, there is a major concern in the aftermath of the victory against Brighton.<\/p>\n

Leeds United fans will be nervous after concerning Anton Stach injury<\/p>\n

Stach, 27, has been one of our best players this season. So, seeing the Germany international being stretchered off is a major concern.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the most frustrating thing was the fact that he was allowed to continue in a dead rubber game. That is in spite of already going down injured minutes prior; it was a risk we didn\u2019t need to take.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters after the game, Farke said he was fearful when asked about Stach\u2019s injury. <\/p>\n

The German manager said Carlos Baleba landed awkwardly on Stach\u2019s ankle and knee. But, he hopes it is nothing too serious, as per a post from Beren Cross on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hopefully, for Stach, he can recover in time for the World Cup. His performances at Elland Road this season more than earn him a spot in the Germany squad for the summer if he\u2019s fit and available.<\/p>\n
