\nmutual visits and\u00a0Russia-China top-level talks are an\u00a0important and\u00a0integral
\npart of\u00a0our joint efforts to\u00a0promote the\u00a0entire range of\u00a0relations between our
\ntwo countries and\u00a0unlock their truly limitless potential.<\/p>\n
I\u00a0would like to\u00a0remind you that 25 years ago, Russia and\u00a0China signed the\u00a0Treaty
\nof\u00a0Good-Neighbourliness and\u00a0Friendly Cooperation, which laid a\u00a0solid foundation
\nfor\u00a0a\u00a0genuinely strategic relationship and\u00a0comprehensive partnership for\u00a0the\u00a0benefit of\u00a0our countries and\u00a0our peoples.<\/p>\n
Today, Russia-China relations have
\nreached a\u00a0truly unprecedented level. Their special nature is reflected in\u00a0the\u00a0atmosphere
\nof\u00a0mutual understanding and\u00a0trust, a\u00a0commitment to\u00a0pursuing win-win and\u00a0equitable cooperation, conducting respectful dialogue, and\u00a0supporting each
\nother on\u00a0matters affecting the\u00a0core interests of\u00a0both countries, including protection
\nof\u00a0sovereignty and\u00a0state unity.<\/p>\n
Looking confidently to\u00a0the\u00a0future,
\nRussia and\u00a0China are actively expanding their contacts in\u00a0politics, the\u00a0economy, and\u00a0defence, while broadening humanitarian exchanges and\u00a0encouraging person-to-person
\ninteraction. It means that together we are doing everything that can further
\ndeepen bilateral collaboration and\u00a0advance the\u00a0comprehensive development of\u00a0our
\ncountries. It is important that these are the\u00a0issues that will shape the\u00a0agenda
\nof\u00a0the\u00a0upcoming talks in\u00a0Beijing.<\/p>\n
I\u00a0deeply appreciate President Xi
\nJinping\u2019s commitment to\u00a0long-term cooperation with Russia. I\u00a0am convinced that
\nour warm and\u00a0friendly ties enable us to\u00a0chart the\u00a0boldest plans for\u00a0the\u00a0future
\nand\u00a0bring them to\u00a0life.<\/p>\n
Trade between Russia and\u00a0China
\ncontinues to\u00a0grow, having long surpassed the\u00a0US$200 billion mark. Mutual
\nsettlements are now conducted almost entirely in\u00a0rubles and\u00a0yuan. Major
\ninitiatives are underway in\u00a0key areas of\u00a0our cooperation. Following the\u00a0successful Cross Years of\u00a0Culture, the\u00a0Cross Years of\u00a0Russian-Chinese
\nCooperation in\u00a0Education were launched in\u00a0January, making it the\u00a0tenth edition
\nof\u00a0this kind of\u00a0bilateral projects in\u00a0the\u00a0humanitarian area.<\/p>\n
I\u00a0would like to\u00a0point out that
\nRussia holds China\u2019s centuries-old history and\u00a0its achievements in\u00a0culture,
\nart, and\u00a0science in\u00a0high esteem. We are interested in\u00a0bringing our peoples closer
\ntogether, further promoting mutual understanding, and\u00a0embracing all the\u00a0positive things offered by\u00a0the\u00a0two countries\u2019 rich traditions and\u00a0heritage.<\/p>\n
This is why we welcome the\u00a0introduction of\u00a0a\u00a0mutual visa-free regime between our countries, facilitating
\ngreater business and\u00a0tourism exchanges and\u00a0harnessing new opportunities for\u00a0communication and\u00a0personal contacts between Russian and\u00a0Chinese nationals.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0close strategic relationship between
\nRussia and\u00a0China plays a\u00a0major, stabilising role globally. Without allying
\nagainst anyone, we seek peace and\u00a0universal prosperity.<\/p>\n
It is in\u00a0this spirit that Moscow and\u00a0Beijing act in\u00a0a\u00a0coordinated manner to\u00a0defend international law and\u00a0the\u00a0provisions of\u00a0the\u00a0UN Charter in\u00a0their entirety, completeness, and\u00a0interconnectedness.
\nWe support active cooperation through the\u00a0UN, the\u00a0Shanghai Cooperation
\nOrganisation, BRICS, and\u00a0other multilateral entities, making a\u00a0substantial
\ncontribution to\u00a0resolving pressing global and\u00a0regional challenges.<\/p>\n
I\u00a0am confident that together we will
\ncontinue to\u00a0do everything possible to\u00a0deepen Russia-China partnership and\u00a0good-neighbourliness
\nfor\u00a0our two countries\u2019 dynamic development and\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0well-being of\u00a0our
\npeoples, in\u00a0the\u00a0interests of\u00a0maintaining global security and\u00a0stability.<\/p>\n
