No use in betting, games or single club\/league\/player publications.\"  \/>Fans held up a banners inside the stadium (Mike Egerton\/PA)<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of people joined the march, which was held both to remember Harvey and to spread an anti-knife crime message. Participants held banners which read \u201cLives not knives\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>People were asked to wear red and white and some took balloons in the colour of Sheffield United\u2019s kit.<\/p>\n<p>Harvey was an avid supporter of the club and went to games with his friends.<\/p>\n<p>Marchers chanted \u201cGoose Army\u201d and \u201cThere\u2019s only one Harvey Willgoose\u201d in memory of the popular teenager.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/2.78944487.jpg\" alt=\"People marching through Sheffield\" data-title=\"Harvey Willgoose death\" data-copyright-holder=\"PA Wire\" data-copyright-notice=\"PA Wire\/PA Images\" data-credit=\"Mike Egerton\" data-usage-terms=\"\"  \/>Hundreds of people marched through Sheffield (Mike Egerton\/PA)<\/p>\n<p>The march was supported by Sheffield anti-knife crime charity Always An Alternative.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Olaseinde, founder of the charity, was at the protest to \u201cshow support for the friends and family of Harvey\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He called for action on knife crime in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Olaseinde told the PA news agency: \u201cFor those people that have got the power, it\u2019s been going on for far too long and we\u2019ve not seen enough action. We have had enough of your words, we want to see change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Portsmouth fans also joined in the march, including David Pope, 65.<\/p>\n<p>He told the PA news agency he and his son travelled up to Sheffield early to join the march.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis (the march) is more important than any result today. Of course, we love to take points home but the most important point is let\u2019s get this message to everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the fifteenth minute of the Championship match, fans of both sides clapped to commemorate Harvey, while his picture was shown on screens throughout the stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Football fans at West Bromwich\u2019s stadium in Birmingham paid tribute in the same way when the Albion faced Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, churches in the city held services to remember him.<\/p>\n<p>A mass was held at St Joseph\u2019s church in Handsworth, Sheffield.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/2.78945985.jpg\" alt=\"A tribute to Harvey Willgoose is shown on screens at the stadium\" data-title=\"Sheffield United v Portsmouth \u2013 Sky Bet Championship \u2013 Bramall Lane\" data-copyright-holder=\"PA Wire\" data-copyright-notice=\"PA Wire\/PA Images\" data-credit=\"Mike Egerton\" data-usage-terms=\"EDITORIAL USE ONLY No use with unauthorised audio, video, data, fixture lists, club\/league logos or \u201clive\u201d services.
