The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on Nigerian entrepreneurs, innovators, and startup enterprises to apply for the African Continental Free Trade Area Startup Acceleration and Partnership Programme 2026.\n<\/p>\n
The ministry said the programme was launched by the AfCFTA Secretariat in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Korea-Africa Foundation.\n<\/p>\n
In a statement issued on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Kimiebi Ebienfa, the ministry said the initiative is aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, trade, innovation and private-sector partnerships between African countries and the Republic of Korea within the AfCFTA framework.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cThe initiative is expected to support approximately thirty (30) selected African startups operating within strategic sectors, including fintech, digital commerce, manufacturing, logistics, and agricultural value chains.<\/p>\n
\u201cSuccessful participants will benefit from business acceleration support, mentorship opportunities, capacity-building programmes, market exposure, and investment networking opportunities in the Republic of Korea,\u201d the statement read. <\/p>\n
The ministry encouraged qualified Nigerian startups with innovative and scalable business models to take advantage of the opportunity to enhance Africa\u2013Korea commercial engagement and promote sustainable economic development.\n<\/p>\n
Interested applicants are to visit the official AfCFTA website for eligibility criteria, guidelines and application procedures via https:\/\/au-afcfta.org\/afcfta-startup-acceleration-partnership-program-2026\/<\/p>\n
The application deadline is May 31 2026.\n<\/p>\n
