Lorde has delighted fans with a sneak peek of what appears to be some new music.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The songstress, 28, sparked a frenzy as she released a snippet of what appeared to be her next song.<\/p>\n

A sample of the dreamy pop track was uploaded Wednesday to her TikTok<\/a> account, where she shared video of her briskly walking through Washington Square Park with the upbeat song on in the background.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lorde – who recently released a new M\u0101ori language <\/a>single – sings in the track: ‘Since I was seventeen\/I gave you everything now\/We wake from a dream\/well baby\/what was that\/What was that?’\u00a0<\/p>\n

The song could very well be from her next fourth album, which would be her first in nearly four years.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fans went into overdrive in the comments section, with several predicting an incoming ‘Lorde summer’.<\/p>\n

‘WAIT WHAT?????’ a TikToker wrote.<\/p>\n

The aforementioned comment in particular caught Lorde’s attention, as she re-posted it to her Instagram Stories.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lorde kept her fans on her toes Wednesday as she dropped several other breadcrumbs hinting at something big.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Among her various notable online activity, her website is currently down and her Instagram posts have been deleted.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It’s not the first time Lorde has shared new music since 2021’s Solar Power.<\/p>\n

Back in 2023, she performed two new songs – Silver Moon and Invisible Ink – at the Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall, U.K.<\/p>\n

However she clarified of the songs to her Instagram followers: ‘Hahaha, I\u2019m serious literally just decided to set these free from my laptop \u2026 but they\u2019re not bad, eh \u2026 beautiful and fun for fests I thought.’<\/p>\n
