There will be new outlets, an expanded dining area, and a 500-seat bar area with airside views once its complete next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It\u2019s part of plans announced by <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/manchester-airport\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Manchester Airport<\/a> today, Tuesday May 6, to remodel and renovate Terminal 3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The changes to the terminal come as the airport\u2019s \u00a31.3billion transformation plans reaches completion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The project, which began in 2015, has already seen Terminal 2 double in size, and when it\u2019s completed later this year it will become the \u2018beating heart\u2019 of the airport, with more than 70 per cent of all passengers eventually using it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1747121714_92_0_New-Manchester-Airport-T3-images.jpg\" alt=\"Computer-generated images showing what the new T3 at Manchester Airport will look like\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Computer-generated images showing what the new T3 at Manchester Airport will look like(Image: Manchester Airport)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Under the project, Terminal 1 will close, but the airport has now set out details of how it will retain parts of the building to give Terminal 3 a bigger footprint. Both terminals are joined together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The entrance to the terminal, security hall and departure lounge will all be remodelled, creating extra space for passengers and for new retailers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Passengers will also notice a change to the food and drink facilities. Although the airport has yet to confirm the outlets in the transformed Terminal 3, there will be \u201cnew food and drink outlets\u201d, a new 500 seat bar with airfield views, and an expanded dining area with 200 extra seats.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">There will also be 40 per cent more seating capacity in the departure lounge, and new facilities in the landside arrivals area of the terminal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Manchester Airport Managing Director Chris Woodroofe said: \u201cWe are proud to connect the people of the North to the world \u2013 and our transformation programme means that our passengers will be able to enjoy an airport experience that rivals that of any European capital city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThe work we\u2019ve done in Terminal 2 is there for all to see \u2013 and we\u2019ve already won the prestigious Prix Versailles award for its architecture and design. But until now we haven\u2019t talked about our plans for Terminal 3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cMoving to a two-terminal airport is giving us a great opportunity to use some of the existing Terminal 1 space to increase the footprint of Terminal 3.
