{"id":974701,"date":"2026-05-21T04:00:35","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T04:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/974701\/"},"modified":"2026-05-21T04:00:35","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T04:00:35","slug":"leeds-health-summit-to-demystify-medical-research-barriers-for-communities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/974701\/","title":{"rendered":"Leeds health summit to demystify medical research barriers for communities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cardigan Centre in Burley is hosting a major healthcare summit to give underrepresented communities a direct voice in medical innovation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<a href=\"https:\/\/hrc-surgical.nihr.ac.uk\/event\/your-voice-in-health-research\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Your Voice in Health Research Summit<\/a> is running this week to break down the barriers surrounding medical research and clinical trials.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hosted by the research matchmaking platform <a href=\"https:\/\/probr.co\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PRObr<\/a>, in collaboration with National Institute for Health and Care Research and the Accelerated Surgical Care HealthTech Research Centre), the event runs until Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A spokesperson told WLD: \u201cThis is a week-long, hybrid initiative bringing together clinicians, researchers, patients, and community stakeholders to explore how research can become more inclusive, accessible, and representative of diverse populations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMany people hear terms like \u2018clinical trials\u2019 or \u2018research\u2019 and immediately feel like it\u2019s something distant or difficult to understand.
