The Osbournes have partnered with Hyperreal and Proto Hologram to create an AI-powered Prince of Darkness. Digital Ozzy will now be able to speak again with his fans and be available in Proto Luma units in the U.K. and U.S. later this summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSharon and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/jack-osbourne\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jack-osbourne\" data-tag=\"jack-osbourne\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Osbourne<\/a> announced the endeavor on Wednesday at Licensing Expo 2026 in Las Vegas. The creation bears \u201cthe digital DNA of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/ozzy-osbourne\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ozzy-osbourne\" data-tag=\"ozzy-osbourne\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>, voice, image [and] movement,\u201d Jack said at the event, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.licenseglobal.com\/celebrity\/sharon-osbourne-and-jack-osbourne-discuss-ozzy-osbournes-legacy-and-the-future-of-the-osbourne-brand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">License Global<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cYou can ask [the digital] Ozzy anything, and he will answer you in his own voice \u2014 and the answers will be what Ozzy would have said,\u201d Sharon said. \u201cWe\u2019re going to take it all around the world. People can talk to him and he will talk back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s kind of scary how it\u2019s really very accurate,\u201d Jack said. \u201cHe will exist digitally as himself for as long as we have computers. Technology has come such a long way to where it\u2019s almost drag-and-drop. You could shoot a template for a commercial \u2026 literally prompt what you want Digital Ozzy to do in that commercial and you just drop it in. It\u2019s that simple now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe CEO of Hyperreal, Remington Scott, tells Rolling Stone that it created the Ozzy avatar using patented technology that allows the avatar to operate in real time. The company uses patented \u201cDigital DNA\u201d technology to gather the data it needs to create the avatars. \u201cIt can perform live, respond to audiences, and exist within interactive environments,\u201d Scott says. \u201cThis isn\u2019t pre-rendered content playing on a loop. It\u2019s a living performance, built exclusively from authenticated source material: curated, consented, and controlled by the people closest to Ozzy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tDavid Nussbaum, Proto Hologram\u2019s founder, reaffirms Scott\u2019s statement about using only approved material to source the digital avatars since both his company and Hyperreal adhere to strict ethics regarding AI. \u201cWe don\u2019t take the responsibility of working with artists of this stature lightly,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tEditor\u2019s picks<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tHyperreal previously created a digital avatar for the late Marvel Comics honcho Stan Lee, which it premiered at L.A. Comic Con in 2025. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DFUCFttYxaI\">Video of the digital Lee<\/a> shows him interacting with a Comic Con attendee, extolling the virtues of Spider-Man as his favorite superhero, and explaining the origins of the Sandman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cSharon came to this with real context: She had already seen what this technology can do,\u201d Nussbaum says. \u201cShe visited Proto Hologram\u2019s headquarters in Van Nuys, where she saw multiple projects firsthand, including Hyperreal\u2019s avatar of Stan Lee that held live conversations with Marvel fans at LA Comic-Con. She\u2019s even become a hologram herself. So she wasn\u2019t walking in cold.
