The new payment dates from the <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/all-about\/dwp\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">DWP<\/a> come as the May Bank Holiday is marked on Monday, May 25.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The three-day weekend means payments will instead be administered on Friday, May 22. Your payment day depends on the last two digits of your national insurance number:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"UnorderedList_unordered-list__gzblI\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"unordered-list\">\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">00 to 19 \u2013 Monday<\/li>\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">20 to 39 \u2013 Tuesday<\/li>\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">40 to 59 \u2013 Wednesday<\/li>\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">60 to 79 \u2013 Thursday<\/li>\n<li class=\"LiItem_li-item__IF4xI\">80 to 99 \u2013 Friday<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">If your normal payment day is a bank holiday, you might be paid earlier, though, under DWP rules.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">If your State Pension has not been paid on your usual scheduled date, you should immediately contact the Pension Service to investigate the issue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">In the UK, call 0800 731 7898 (textphone: 0800 731 7339) to speak with an advisor. If you are outside the UK, you will need to contact the International Pension Centre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The State Pension is usually paid every 4 weeks. Ensure that your expected payment date falls within this 28-day cycle, as bank holidays can occasionally shift the exact deposit day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">If you recently applied, your first payment can take up to 5 weeks from your chosen start date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Ensure the DWP has your correct bank details and current address, as payments may be paused if your file is flagged for a review.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Remember, too, that you won&#8217;t normally receive your State Pension automatically.
