{"id":978018,"date":"2026-05-22T15:24:22","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T15:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/978018\/"},"modified":"2026-05-22T15:24:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T15:24:22","slug":"next-reopens-russell-bromley-location-following-closure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/978018\/","title":{"rendered":"NEXT reopens Russell &#038; Bromley location following closure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NEXT has reopened Russell &amp; Bromley\u2019s Richmond store in south-west London following its recent closure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/ads\/nextail-ad-mob-pu-2\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Dirty-Secret-1.png\" class=\"no-lazy-load wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The lease for the Richmond location is understood to have been transferred to NEXT earlier this week, with the store now reopening under the British retailer\u2019s management.<\/p>\n<p>The reopening follows confirmation that all remaining Russell &amp; Bromley stores and concessions previously under review would close, <a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/russel-bromley-completes-closure-of-all-retail-outlets-not-acquired-by-next\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">with all sites shutting by the end of April<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/ads\/nextail-ad-dt-pu\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Dirty-Secret-2.png\" class=\"no-lazy-load wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The closures came after a pre-pack administration deal completed in January, through which NEXT acquired the Russell &amp; Bromley brand and selected assets.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement initially included three stores in Chelsea, Mayfair and Bluewater, with Richmond now added following its reopening.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/ads\/tif-summit-ad-mob-bb-pu-eb\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/MOB-POPUNDER-300-x-250-px-13.gif\" class=\"no-lazy-load wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Employees at locations not included in the sale were subsequently made redundant.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, administrators <a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/russell-bromley-redundancies-hit-332-after-store-closures\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Interpath confirmed that 332 redundancies had been made<\/a> across Russell &amp; Bromley\u2019s head office and store network as part of the insolvency process.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/ads\/tif-summit-dt-pu-eb\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1440\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Pop-Under-12-1.gif\" class=\"no-lazy-load wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Founded in Sussex in 1880, Russell &amp; Bromley had faced sustained financial pressures in recent years, including declining sales, rising operating costs and a high fixed-cost base, alongside wider challenges affecting the UK retail sector, such as inflation and weaker consumer demand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"NEXT has reopened Russell &amp; Bromley\u2019s Richmond store in south-west London following its recent closure.
