{"id":978881,"date":"2026-05-23T01:25:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T01:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/978881\/"},"modified":"2026-05-23T01:25:14","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T01:25:14","slug":"elbit-tmks-signs-deal-to-expand-israel-german-maritime-defense-ties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/978881\/","title":{"rendered":"Elbit TMKS signs deal to expand Israel-German maritime defense ties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/defense-and-tech\/article-887300\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Elbit<\/a> will expand its ties with the German submarine manufacturer TKMS, after both companies signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">TKMS already had ties with both the Israeli Navy, to which it sold four new submarines worth billions of shekels, and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), with which it worked on a deal to supply the German Navy with unmanned submarine vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The latest deal will focus on advancing technological capabilities while simultaneously strengthening the strategic ties between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/international\/article-894336\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Germany and Israel<\/a>, Oliver Burkhard, CEO of TKMS, said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">&#8220;In today&#8217;s complex security environment, close cooperation between partners who share a similar worldview is essential to ensuring stability and resilience,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">&#8220;By combining the technological strengths and operational experience of both companies, we aim to provide advanced solutions that will meet the evolving needs of maritime forces,&#8221;
