A Metropolitan Police investigation is underway after rude graffiti was plastered over a wall in Shepherd’s Bush<\/a>. CCTV footage posted on social media by Hammersmith<\/a> and Fulham Council appears to show a man writing “I farted in yoga” on a hoarding in Uxbridge<\/a> Road.<\/p>\n The suspect is wearing a white graphic t-shirt, grey shorts and trainers. “Do you recognise this man?” a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n “He vandalised hoardings in Uxbridge Road – Shepherds Bush – on Saturday 2 May 2026. If so, please contact @crimestopperstrust anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or via their website. H&F Council officers have removed the graffiti.”<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n The West London council’s post calling for witnesses to come forward has quickly gone viral with more than 50,000 likes and almost 5,000 comments.<\/p>\n Reactions to the post suggest most Londoners have seen the funny side of the incident, with some dubbing the suspect “Stanksy”. One person wrote: “Leave the man alone. He made your boring grey boards less boring.”<\/p>\n Another said “hang it in the Louvre”, while a third added “great publicity for someone actively seeking public attention”. Other commenters questioned why the police and council would go to the lengths of launching an investigation into a “harmless” piece of graffiti<\/p>\n “Police appeal wowee!” one example reads. “A joke on temporary hoardings & there’s a crime number!!! Didn’t think this post through did you… focus more on real life issues & less on a bit of paint.”<\/p>\n
