One of the best-known Scottish fashion brands is set to close up its remaining shops<\/a> next month – including its Aberdeen<\/a> location.<\/p>\n

Quiz Clothing closed down a third of its retail estate last year in a bid to save the business as it battled soaring costs.<\/p>\n

There were 40 stores left across the UK and 11 in Scotland, including one in Aberdeen’s Bon Accord Centre<\/a>. These shops have been offering huge sales in recent weeks, with hopes of a rescue deal dwindling.<\/p>\n

But now, administrators at Interpath have confirmed that all the remaining stores in Scotland and beyond will permanently close in June. Next month’s shuttering marks the end of more than 30 years in business for the brand, the Record reports.<\/p>\n

The final decision will see around 360 employees lose their jobs during the “phased closure plane”. Administrators are urging shoppers to make the most of the “final closing down sale” between now and the shops shutting – though dates have yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n

Of the 40 that remained from last year’s cuts, three have since closed – Castlecourt, Leeds, and Romford. The 37 shops left will be closed in June, The Scottish Sun reports.<\/p>\n

Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs, from Interpath, were appointed as joint administrators of Orion Retail Limited, Tarak International Limited, and Zandra Systems Limited – collectively trading as Quiz Clothing – in February.<\/p>\n

An Interpath spokesperson confirmed that “there are approximately 360 employees who remain employed and who will be impacted” by the final closures.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson added: “For the 37 Quiz stores which remain operational, a phased closure plan will be implemented over the coming weeks, with all stores anticipated to close during June.<\/p>\n

“The timing of particular store closures has yet to be confirmed. Three stores in [Belfast] Castlecourt, Leeds and Romford have now closed. All remaining stock is in the process of being delivered to those stores which remain open and is selling fast.<\/p>\n

“Discounts of at least 60 per cent across all items, including dresses, footwear and accessories, are in place with some items priced at only \u00a35 or \u00a310.”<\/p>\n

McAlinden, head of Interpath in Scotland, said: “As we head into the May Bank Holiday weekend, we would encourage shoppers to visit their local store as we commence our final closing down sale.”<\/p>\n

Jacobs, Interpath managing director, said: “We’d once again like to say a huge thank you to Quiz staff who have shown such dedication and professionalism under difficult circumstances.”<\/p>\n

Founded by the Ramzan Family in 1993, Quiz went on to operate 275 stores across the UK at its peak, with concessions also available at major retailers including New Look.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the Scottish company has faced significant challenges recently, leading it to undergo a massive financial restructuring. In February 2026, Interpath was appointed as administrators.<\/p>\n

After closing down 23 stores in 2025, the struggling brand then went on to make 109 redundancies after it closed down its head office in Glasgow and its warehouse and distribution centre in Bellshill, Lanarkshire.<\/p>\n
