Family and friends are honouring the memory of a beloved Bristol barber following his sudden death.<\/p>\n
Mark Demmery, who worked at Lee’s Barbershop in Warmley, was aged just 51 when he suffered a bleed on the brain.<\/p>\n
Loved ones have launched a GoFundMe page to honour him and ‘give him the best send off possible’.<\/p>\n
The campaign has so far raised almost \u00a36,160 of the \u00a37,000 target, with 174 donations in just three days.<\/p>\n
The fundraiser reads: “No parents should have to bury their child and to ease the burden we’ve set up a GoFundMe to honour Mark and give him the best send off possible that he deserves.”<\/p>\n
The page goes on to detail that any money left over will be put behind the bar at The Dolphin pub in Oldland Common for loved ones to have a drink in Mark’s memory.<\/p>\n
It’s also hoped that a bench can be placed in the beer garden of the popular local to become a place where those who knew Mark can sit and have a drink and “remember all the funny times and laughter they spent with Mark”.<\/p>\n
Donations will also be made to the Intensive Care Unit at Bath<\/a> RUH ‘for the fantastic care Mark received’ and ‘where they fought so hard to save him’.<\/p>\n
