All lanes were shut on the motorway following the incident at around 8.30pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The motorway was shut off on the northbound carriageway between junction 21 for Warrington and junction 21A. There were over two miles of delays, travel services have said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">National Highways for the North West posted at the time: &#8220;Traffic has been held on the #M6 in #Cheshire northbound between J21 #Warrington &#8211; J21A (#M62) due to a collision. Emergency services are on scene and recovery arranged. Delays in excess of 30 minutes with 2 miles of congestion.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Travel service Inrix said four cars were involved in the incident. At 10pm, three lanes reopened but the slip road exit was shut off, with delays still in place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">National Highways said the delays would ease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">This is a live blog.
