The newly-announced Strictly host Josh Widdicombe has revealed the cryptic message he received from Noel Edmonds after buying his multi-million pound mansion in Devon.<\/p>\n
Last year, the comedian and presenter, 43, moved into a \u00a32.95 mansion in Exeter<\/a>, previously home to TV legend Noel Edmonds.<\/p>\n But after passing on the property to Josh, Noel sent him a cryptic message.<\/p>\n Speaking on The Romesh Ranganathan Show, Josh said: \u201c[Noel] said something about how he\u2019d left something under a floorboard or something.<\/p>\n \u201cA treasure chest or something.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWere you tempted to look?\u201d Romesh asked.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, I wasn\u2019t actually, I wonder if it would be evidence if it was a body,\u201d Josh replied.<\/p>\n He continued: \u201cI\u2019m trying to distance myself from\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNoel Edmonds?\u201d Romesh asked.<\/p>\n \u201cYes. And you\u2019ve given me Mr Blobby mugs,\u201d Josh replied, referring to the new kitchenware Romesh had gifted him as a house-warming present.<\/p>\n Noel and Mr Blobby were a staple of Saturday night television on BBC<\/a> One for years, fronting the 1990s TV show Noel Edmonds\u2019 House Party.<\/p>\n The show was set in a fake manor house in the fictional village of Crinkley Bottom.<\/p>\n Last year, Josh told his Parenting Hell podcast co-host Rob Beckett of his new home: \u201cJust to be clear, it isn\u2019t in Crinkley Bottom \u2013 it isn\u2019t the house we used to see on Saturday nights on the TV.\u201d<\/p>\n He also revealed that the wallpaper was pink and yellow when he moved in, just like Mr Blobby.<\/p>\n Josh was born in London but grew up in Haytor Vale, near Widecombe in the Moor on Dartmoor<\/a>.<\/p>\n The dad-of-two moved to Devon to raise his children in the countryside.<\/p>\n
