Fans had been aware that the team would be heading out to Dubai for a celebration, but it\u2019s only just been revealed what the trip represents.<\/p>\n

DaveOCKOP<\/a> has confirmed the holiday is primarily an official send-off for Trent Alexander-Arnold<\/a>, ahead of the right-back\u2019s move to Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

DaveOCKOP claims this was organised collectively, with Trent being a \u201cwell-liked member of the squad\u201d.<\/p>\n

The players left for Dubai after their draw against Arsenal on Sunday and are returning on Friday, ahead of their away match against Brighton on Monday.<\/p>\n

The time off is serving an important purpose for the club overall, with World Cup qualifiers and Nations League games taking place in early June.<\/p>\n

This means the players can have a bit of time to relax outside of the increasingly packed footballing calendar, with even less time for rest in the summer than ever before.<\/p>\n

However, with Trent Alexander-Arnold\u2019s popularity at an all-time low among Liverpool fans, the trip has provoked a reaction.<\/p>\n

One supporter said: \u201cHopefully they leave him there and he can hitchhike to Madrid.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another Red was left stunned: \u201cWhy, just why?\u201d<\/p>\n

While one fan had strong words for the players: \u201cThe players are stupid for doing that. Trent is a rat!\u201d<\/p>\n

However, others saw it in a more positive light: \u201cLove this, while fans, myself included, are conflicted by him leaving\u2026the team in the end sticks together as it should be apart from the derision externally. We all could learn something from this.\u201d<\/p>\n
