The Top 100 Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in the UK for 2026 have been revealed and there’s several in Greater Manchester\"Albert's<\/p>\n

If you’re not already enjoying the early Bank Holiday sunshine<\/a>, then there’s a good chance you’re scrolling through your phone looking for restaurants and bars with outdoor terraces.<\/p>\n

As we approach the long weekend, temperatures in the region are already rising with plenty of warm weather and sunshine expected over the next few days and into next week. Temperatures could even climb above 30C across swathes of England and Wales.<\/p>\n

The Met Office is currently forecasting highs of 26C on Sunday and 27C on both Monday and Tuesday in Manchester, Salford<\/a>, Stockport<\/a> and Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Temperatures are expected to be slightly cooler in Bolton<\/a>, Bury<\/a>, Rochdale<\/a> and Tameside<\/a>, but they should still meet the threshold for a heatwave<\/a> – at 25C on Sunday, 26C on Monday, 26C in Rochdale on Tuesday, and 27C in Bolton, Bury and Tameside on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

With the warmer weather in sight, attention turns to where you might spend the Bank Holiday weekend. Naturally, many of us head to the city centre in search of terraced outdoor spots to make the most of the sun.<\/p>\n

However, it can get extremely busy and difficult to find a spot that gives you a chance to soak up the rays and some much-needed shade when required. When its warm, you don’t want to be traipsing around in the heat looking for somewhere you can enjoy your pint.<\/p>\n

Outside the city and in the leafy suburb of Didsbury<\/a> though, there’s a dining spot which has just been named among the UK’s best for outdoor dining. With outdoor dining up 13 percent over the past year, year-over-year according to OpenTable data, the platform has unveiled its annual Top 100 Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in the UK for 2026.<\/p>\n

Based on diner reviews and dining metrics, the list includes four standout restaurants from Greater Manchester. This year it includes 20 Stories in Manchester, Bar San Juan in Chorlton<\/a>, The Cherry Tree in Blackrod and Albert’s in Didsbury.<\/p>\n

Sister restaurant to Albert\u2019s Shed in Castlefield, which is also known to attract big crowds during the warmer weather, OpenTable describes the restaurant and bar on Barlow Moor Road as a “slick, modern space”. As well as dining for 160 guests inside, there’s a “fabulous” covered and heated outside dining terrace for 60 people.<\/p>\n

It adds: “The menu is modern British with an eclectic mix of Albert\u2019s favourites and dishes from around the globe, all using only fresh local ingredients.”<\/p>\n

The vast menu at Albert’s Didsbury spans a selection of nibbles and starters including crab mac & cheese and crispy masala prawns, and extends to mains, steaks and pizzas, plus a selection of sides. Larger dishes include sea bass, smoked cod and lobster ravioli – all ideal for a warm day – while there’s also a selection of sides including proper chips and herb garden salad.<\/p>\n

If you fancy a refreshing drink in the sunshine there’s a range of cocktails too. Options span the Hugo Spritz, Long Island Iced Tea and Mojito, plus other classic concoctions.<\/p>\n

The restaurant is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and every Saturday and Sunday mornings for breakfast. From Tuesday to Friday from 12pm until 5pm and Saturday, 12:30pm until 3pm, plus Bank Holiday Monday, 12:30pm until 5pm, they’re offering two courses for \u00a315.95.<\/p>\n

The weekend two-course deal encompasses mains like fish and chips and the nourish bowl as well as crispy pork belly and charred asparagus, plus pizzas and desserts such as peanut butter and chocolate chia pot, and burnt basque cheesecake.<\/p>\n

The Top 100 Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in the UK for 2026 guide is generated from over 750,000 reviews from verified OpenTable diners and dining metrics from 1 March 2025 to 28 February 2026.<\/p>\n
