Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a potential setback in their pursuit of Liverpool defender Andy Robertson this summer, with Juventus<\/a> now joining the race for the defender. The Scotland international is said to have agreed a deal in priciple to join Spurs, however, that deal could yet be hijacked.<\/p>\n Sky in Italy report that Juventus have made an approach for Robertson, who featured in his final match for Liverpool<\/a> on Sunday afternoon. His contract at Anfield runs out at the end of next month, meaning he will be available as a free agent.<\/p>\n It’s suggested that Spurs remain frontrunners to secure Robertson’s signature, having been linked with a transfer to the Tottenham<\/a> Hotspur Stadium back in January. Throughout his nine years at Liverpool, he was part of a side that claimed two Premier League titles, one Champions League<\/a>, two League Cups and one FA Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n The full-back will represent Scotland<\/a> at this summer’s World Cup in North America, which could potentially postpone any decisions regarding his future.<\/p>\n The tournament kicks off on June 11, with Scotland facing Haiti in their opening fixture three days later (2am kick-off). We stayed at Liverpool and that was the decision made.”<\/p>\n Opening up about his final appearance for Liverpool and the lead-up to it, he told Sky Sports<\/a>: “Emotionally drained.
