An urgent product recall<\/a> has been issued over air fryers sold in Tesco<\/a>, Argos<\/a> and B&M which ‘could catch fire’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued the warning for Tower Air Fryers over concerns that the product will overheat and ignite during use.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The website claimed that the affected products were manufactured between January 2022 and April 2023.<\/p>\n

It advised those who have purchased the air fryers to ‘stop using them immediately’ and unplug them from power supplies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They have been sold by retailers including Argos, B&M Bargains, DID,\u00a0Poundland<\/a>, Robert Dyas, Tesco, and the Tower Housewares website.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Owners can check if they have an affected model by checking the model on the appliance rating label.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘The product presents a risk of fire as it can overheat and ignite during use,’ officials warned.<\/p>\n

For refund or replacement information, customers can visit the Tower Housewares webpage, where an official recall notice is displayed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tower Housewares’ website says: ‘The fault has been deemed low risk by Trading Standards, however the safety and well-being of our customers is our top priority, and we have made the decision to voluntarily recall these models as a precautionary measure.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘The issue has been identified within specific batches of the affected products manufactured between January 2022 \u2013 April 2023.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Air Fryer models affected by the recall are ‘T17023 Tower 2.2Ltr Manual Air Fryer, T17061BLK Tower 4Ltr Manual Air Fryer, T17067 Tower 4Ltr Digital Air Fryer and T17087 Tower 2Ltr Compact Manual Air Fryer’.<\/p>\n

These models sell for between \u00a329.99-\u00a389.99.<\/p>\n
