West Midlands Fire Service<\/a> have rushed to the scene of Brickhouse Road, Rowley Regis<\/a>, in Sandwell<\/a>, at around 7.20pm to reports of a fire at a property on the road.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Four crews are in attendance to the blaze, with the fire service asking everyone to ‘avoid the area’.<\/p>\n

A West Midlands Fire Service spokesperson said: “We have four crews in attendance at Brickhouse Road, Rowley Regis, where they have responded to a house fire.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Please avoid the area, where possible.”<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Express & Star, \u00a0a resident of the road said: “you could see the smoke pouring through the windows and doors, it was terrible.<\/p>\n

“It looks like most of it was coming from downstairs, I think everyone was okay, I hope they’re alright.”<\/p>\n

Another resident added: \u00a0“There were about four fire vehicles, they got here really quickly, well done to them.<\/p>\n

“The smoke was everywhere, it was chaotic. I could see the owners grabbing stuff from the house, I hope they’re okay.”<\/p>\n

A third local said: “We don’t get many fires down here. Everyone was on the street when it happened.<\/p>\n

“It looked terrible with all the smoke, you can see by the windows how hot it was. You can only hope they’re alright though.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
