A body has been found during a huge search for a missing Rhondda<\/a> man, police have confirmed. 66-year-old Stephen Faulkner was last seen in the Tonypandy area last weekend. A major five-day search operation was launched by South Wales Police<\/a>, with specialist divers, drones, CSI dogs and helicopters all involved.<\/p>\n Divers were seen searching Glyncornel Lake on Wednesday, May 27, following reports of a possible sighting there. Mr Faulkner\u2019s devastated family had made repeated public appeals for information as officers and volunteers worked tirelessly to trace his movements.<\/a><\/p>\n Dozens of people have helped to look for Mr Faulkner over the last few days, with his family saying on Thursday they were overwhelmed by the “unbelievable” support they had received.<\/p>\n Mr Faulkner’s family had also been urgently trying to retrace his final known movements using CCTV footage.<\/p>\n Police confirmed on Thursday evening that a body had been discovered during the search for Mr Faulkner. Formal identification is yet to take place, but his family has been informed.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “A body has been located in the search for Steven Faulkner, age 66, who has been missing since May 23 from his home in Tonypandy.
