{"id":995835,"date":"2026-05-31T06:22:29","date_gmt":"2026-05-31T06:22:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/995835\/"},"modified":"2026-05-31T06:22:29","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T06:22:29","slug":"ex-england-forward-raheem-sterling-arrested-over-alleged-drug-driving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/995835\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-England forward Raheem Sterling arrested over alleged drug-driving"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Former England forward, Raheem Sterling, has been arrested over alleged drug-driving after crashing his car into motorway barriers.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday morning on the M3 in Hampshire when the England international allegedly drove his expensive Lamborghini into roadside barriers.<\/p>\n<p>The Hampshire Police later confirmed the incident in a statement, stating that no other car was involved and no reports of injuries.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, police noted that a 31-year-old individual, who was found in possession of a controlled drug at the scene, was arrested in connection to the incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The suspect refused to submit to sample tests.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust before 9 a.m. on Thursday, we received reports that a Lamborghini was in collision with barriers on the M3 southbound, close to the Minley Interchange. No other vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe driver, a 31-year-old man, from Berkshire, has been arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs, driving dangerously, possession of a Class C drug and failing to provide a specimen.
