The stranger tapped him on the shoulder and asked if it was his.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cWhen I reached for the phone, he would not let go. He was stalling so his partner could grab my gear which was nearby,\u201d Tian said.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Moments later, an accomplice made off with a camera and stabiliser worth more than 5,000 euros (US$5,600).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"The thief was arrested by police officers after Tian loosened his chokehold.
