\n\tAfter seven years, three seasons and 26 episodes, \u201cEuphoria<\/a>\u201d is officially over. Sam Levinson \u2014 the HBO<\/a> show\u2019s creator, writer and director \u2014 made the announcement on Popcast<\/a>, New York Times\u2019 music podcast, speaking with its hosts Joe Coscarelli and Jon Caramanica. HBO also confirmed Levinson\u2019s announcement to Variety.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe news doesn\u2019t come as a surprise, given that series lead Zendaya has remarked in interviews<\/a> that she believed the show was ending after Season 3. Even before that, it has long been understood that the HBO drama wouldn\u2019t continue; a full four years went by between Seasons 2 and 3, and Zendaya and several of her co-stars became full-fledged celebrities with schedules full of blockbuster films during that time. For that reason and others, production on Season 3 faced major delays, as Variety reported in 2024<\/a>. Speaking with Coscarelli in an interview<\/a> with the Times before the season premiered, Levinson said he writes \u201cevery season like it\u2019s the last,\u201d and hesitated when pressed about a fourth season. \u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d Levinson said. \u201cAs of right now, all I want to do is hang out with my wife and kids and read some Elmore Leonard and watch \u2018Mrs. Miniver\u2019 again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEuphoria,\u201d per the official logline, followed \u201ca group of high school students as they navigate drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love and friendship.\u201d In Season 3, after a time jump, they \u201cwrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption and the problem of evil.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlong with Zendaya, the cast included Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace and Colman Domingo. Sam Levinson created the series and served as executive producer alongside Ashley Levinson, Sara E.
