Leeds United<\/a> look set to bolster their squad ahead of their second season back in the Premier League. Wales midfielder Jordan James has been linked with Elland Road.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Daniel Farke<\/a> and Co. achieved everything that was asked of them last summer. And now, it is up to the Whites to continue to establish themselves as a Premier League outfit.<\/p>\n

Georginio Rutter has been one of the names being suggested by fans for a move to Elland Road<\/a>. United have also seen themselves linked with a midfielder, who already has 26 international caps to his name despite being just 21-years-old.<\/p>\n

Leeds United credited with having interest in Rennes midfielder Jordan James<\/p>\n

Despite being under contract at Rennes, Jordan James spent last season on loan at Leicester City as the Foxes were unexpectedly relegated from the Championship<\/a> to League One.<\/p>\n

Despite this, James impressed. The Welsh international scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 34 Championship appearances last season.<\/p>\n

With Leicester being priced out of a permanent move for the midfielder following their relegation, reports from Birmingham World<\/a> suggest that recently-relegated Wolves are one of the clubs interested in signing James.<\/p>\n

However, the report also goes on to claim that Wolves securing James\u2019 signature seems unlikely. Namely Leeds, as well as unnamed clubs in Europe, are also in the race to sign the youngster this summer.<\/p>\n

The likes of Ethan Ampadu, Dan James, Joe Rodon and Karl Darlow are already at the club. As a result, this will certainly do United some favours, should they look to add another Welshman this summer.<\/p>\n

Jordan James\u2019 arrival would likely mean Leeds United will sell a midfielder<\/p>\n

Should James arrive at Elland Road over the summer, this would likely mean that one of the midfielders on the fringes of Farke\u2019s squad will be sold this summer.<\/p>\n

Whilst the Whites lack depth in some areas of their squad, the same cannot be said for their engine room. Ampadu, Anton Stach, Ao Tanaka, Sean Longstaff, Ilia Gruev and even Brenden Aaronson have all featured in midfield this season.<\/p>\n

It goes without saying that when they are fit, Stach and Ampadu will start every game and deservedly so.<\/p>\n

But, if Leeds were to add James to their ranks, you would imagine this is because the club were looking at moving Gruev, Tanaka or Longstaff on in the summer.<\/p>\n

Personally, if I had to sell one, it would be Gruev. I think Longstaff is a very useful squad player for Farke to have at his disposal.<\/p>\n

Stockpiling another midfielder on top of these options would seemingly not make sense. Longstaff, Gruev and Tanaka have all been sparingly used throughout the season.<\/p>\n

Whether James would be good enough to make the step up to the Premier League remains to be seen, but it would certainly be an exciting addition should Leeds secure his services this summer.<\/p>\n
