Aldi<\/a> is launching Scotland’s first “Hope Insurance” policy to support football fans during the national team’s World Cup journey.<\/p>\n

The campaign launches today, June 2, and offers supporters the chance to win prizes if Scotland’s 2026 FIFA<\/a> World Cup group-stage campaign fails to live up to expectations.<\/p>\n

The initiative is fronted by Aldi Scotland deputy store manager Stevie Clark, who shares a name with Scotland manager Steve Clarke<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The retailer will also award one \u00a320 Aldi voucher for every goal Scotland concedes during the group stage.<\/p>\n

For every match Scotland loses, one entrant will receive a \u00a350 voucher.<\/p>\n

If Scotland fail to reach the knockout rounds, one winner will receive a \u00a3200 voucher.<\/p>\n

Should the national team progress beyond the group stage, Aldi will instead award a \u00a3200 voucher to help one supporter celebrate the achievement.<\/p>\n

Entries close at 4pm on Friday, June 12.<\/p>\n

Fans can enter by emailing scottishcompetition@aldi.co.uk<\/a> with a short statement explaining why they are optimistic about Scotland’s chances at the tournament.<\/p>\n

Stevie Clark, deputy store manager at Aldi Scotland, said: “I’ve had so many customers over the years joking about me sharing the same name as the Scotland manager, and I’m sure that will only ramp up during the World Cup.<\/p>\n

“Like everyone else at Aldi, I’ve got my fingers crossed for Steve and the team and we really hope the team can deliver the history-making achievement we’ve been waiting for.<\/p>\n

“Our first-ever Hope Insurance guarantees lucky fans a little something to smile about if things don’t go our way.<\/p>\n
