There\u2019s an interesting little nugget in the trailer for Sony\u2019s new PS5 monitor<\/a> which we didn\u2019t notice at first glance.<\/p>\n

If you watch the video in full, you\u2019ll notice there\u2019s a disclaimer when Ghost of Yotei<\/a> is shown simulated on the screen: \u201cGame available only on PS5.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now normally we wouldn\u2019t blink at this \u2013 it\u2019s pretty ordinary small print, and it\u2019s true that you can only play Sucker Punch\u2019s sequel on the PS5 right now.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

But as X<\/a> (or Twitter<\/a>) user Zuby Tech<\/a> notes, this statement takes on a greater meaning when you consider the wider context of Sony cancelling its single player first-party PC ports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While the company\u2019s yet to comment on that in a public capacity, reporting from the uber-reliable Jason Schreier<\/a> confirms this is the case. In fact, Ghost of Yotei is one game that allegedly was planned for PC, but the port has since been cancelled.<\/p>\n

I do think, considering the monitor can also be used with a PC, this is probably more just legal language to stress Ghost of Yotei is currently only available on the PS5. But I do think it\u2019s pertinent when you factor in Sony\u2019s decision to step away from storefronts like Steam.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure this isn\u2019t the biggest or most important story I\u2019ll write all week, but I do think it\u2019s worth flagging.<\/p>\n
