A phone call between Kyiv and Yerevan connected regional instability with practical plans that could reshape cross-border transport.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a phone conversation with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. The main topics included bilateral contacts, the situation in the regions, and the importance of stability for European security.
Andrii Sybiha noted that the diplomats returned to discussing their recent high-level meetings. In particular, they discussed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit and the Ukrainian foreign minister’s own trip to Armenia for the European Political Community summit.

Sybiha informed Armenia about Russian attacks
During the conversation, Andrii Sybiha told Ararat Mirzoyan about the consequences of Russia’s latest strikes on Ukraine. He also stressed Russia’s ongoing attacks on civilians and Ukrainian infrastructure.
Following the phone talks, Ukraine and Armenia agreed to remain in contact and continue developing bilateral cooperation.
Ukraine-Armenia cooperation in transportation
Ukraine and Armenia have also increased the number of permits for international road transport. In addition, the countries have begun preparing a new agreement providing for the gradual liberalization of freight and transport services between the two countries.
