Ukrainian forces hit a Russian facility used to store,
prepare and launch attack drones near Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea overnight
into Aug. 17, Ukraine’s General Staff reported.
A fire broke out at the site after the attack.
Elsewhere in Crimea, Ukrainian forces targeted a ground
station in Novofedorivka, in the Yevpatoria district, used to control Orion
drones.
“Ukrainian forces also struck a ground relay used to control
Geran and Gerbera attack drones in Olenivka, in Russian-occupied Crimea, along
with a communications and power point supporting the drone relay on the Tendra
Spit in Kherson Oblast,” the General Staff said.
The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
Operations against key Russian military targets are continuing, the General
Staff added.
Earlier on Aug. 17, the Ukrainian military detailed the
results of a separate strike conducted overnight into Aug. 16 against the
Kombinat Kamensky industrial complex in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, in Russia’s Rostov
Oblast.
The military confirmed that the attack destroyed two
workshops producing explosives and gunpowder and damaged four others.
