The US Army is seeking companies capable of restoring Bradley fighting vehicles for Ukraine while training Ukrainian mechanics to maintain them in the field.
A Sources Sought Notice issued by the Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal calls for support covering continuous repair, validation, component procurement, and delivery of M2A2 ODS-SA Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
The effort is intended to restore the vehicles to fully mission-capable status and meet safety standards before they are delivered to Ukraine.
Beyond vehicle repairs, the requirement includes Advanced Mechanic Institute training for Ukrainian military personnel. Contractors would provide courses, lesson plans, equipment, tools, and other materials needed to train mechanics.
The US Army is particularly looking for companies with experience sourcing components for older systems affected by supplier obsolescence. Listed parts include turret drive control units, transmission control modules, ammunition chutes, Target Acquisition System components, and specialized electrical and structural parts.
Vehicles would be processed in phases, with contractors first restoring their “Move, Shoot, and Communicate” functions so they can be shipped as quickly as possible. Non-mission-essential parts that are delayed or back-ordered would then be managed separately.
Bradley Fighting Vehicles in Ukraine
The requirement comes as the US continues to support Ukraine with Bradley vehicles.
The US has supplied more than 300 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles to Ukraine.
A 2025 US government assessment noted that US forces and partners have been involved in maintenance and repair of equipment provided to Ukraine, including Bradley Fighting Vehicles, through the Remote Maintenance and Distribution Cell-Ukraine in Poland.
Washington also approved a possible $150-million sale to Ukraine in July 2025 covering Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles and a maintenance, repair, and overhaul capability.
