Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Ukraine needs to strengthen its mobilization efforts as Russia continues expanding its military recruitment amid the ongoing war.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine must ensure that its armed forces have enough personnel to defend the country, particularly as Russia continues efforts to increase the size and capabilities of its military.

The Ukrainian president also emphasized the importance of improving recruitment and providing better conditions and support for Ukrainian service members.

His remarks come as Kyiv continues to face pressure on the battlefield while seeking additional military support from its international partners.

Zelenskyy has repeatedly called on Ukraine’s allies to provide weapons, air defense systems, and other assistance as the country works to counter Russia’s continued military operations.

The latest comments underscore the continuing challenge for Ukraine of maintaining sufficient military manpower more than four years into Russia’s full-scale invasion.
