Several regions began the day without reliable electricity, while repair crews faced another challenge from weather-related damage.
Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure have caused new power outages in six regions of Ukraine. As of the morning of August 31, some consumers in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions remained without electricity.

Ukrenergo reported that emergency restoration work is already underway everywhere it can be carried out without jeopardizing workers’ safety.
Power Outages in the Chernihiv Region Due to Bad Weather
Adverse weather conditions have also affected electricity supply in the Chernihiv region. Four settlements there have been fully or partially left without power.
Regional power company specialists are repairing damaged overhead lines to restore electricity to residents as quickly as possible.
Electricity Consumption on August 31
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption in Ukraine is in line with seasonal levels. As of 9:30 a.m. on August 31, it was at the same level as on Friday, August 28.
The highest load on the power system on August 30 was recorded during the evening hours. It remained the same as on Sunday, August 23.
To ensure the stable operation of the power system, it is advisable to shift active use of electrical appliances to daytime hours – from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this period, industrial solar power plants generate electricity most efficiently.
At the same time, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., consumers are advised to avoid switching on several high-power appliances at once. No electricity consumption restrictions are planned in Ukraine for August 31.
