Kiev says private warnings preceded the public demand, and gives Minsk one week to prove relays were removed, or Kyiv will act.

Belarus has yet to respond to Ukraine’s demand to switch off the retransmitters that the Russian Federation uses to direct strikes on Ukrainian territory.

Zelensky spoke about this in an interview with the 1+1 channel. When asked whether there was already a reaction to the demand, he replied:

I have no reaction whatsoever

– Volodymyr Zelensky

According to the president, before the public demand Kyiv had sent Minsk corresponding private signals.

I explain this through our intelligence and the Security Service, etc. We have contact at various levels. I explained to him (Alexander Lukashenko – ed.): “Demonstration of concrete steps.” Step number one: no technical support. Direct support of the retransmitter – switch it off, remove it and show us that it has been removed. And we have finished this matter. Since this was relayed to them repeatedly, we moved to the stage of a public signal. This shows that if he does not remove (the retransmitters) – we will remove them. Everything that will happen in a week. Either them, or us

– Volodymyr Zelensky

It is also noted that on June 19 Zelensky urged Belarus to dismantle the retransmitters for signals to Russian drones located on the border.

So far, Minsk’s response is absent.

The current situation and next steps

The situation remains without an official response from Belarus, while Kyiv continues to demand the dismantling of the retransmitters and the cessation of technical support by the neighboring country.

At the moment, the situation remains open, with both sides maintaining their positions while awaiting concrete actions.
