Omsk is in southern Siberia, about 800 km east of Yekaterinburg.<\/p>\n<p>Russia deployed its latest fighter jet \u2014 the Su-57 \u2014 to intercept but it only managed to down one drone. Thirteen drones hit their targets.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">The Omsk refinery in Russia has been hit at multiple points. At least two oil processing towers have been struck and are burning. If the 3,400 km prediction is correct, that would put Novosibirsk within range. Ukraine was unable to shoot down ballistic missiles in the attack due to a severe shortage of Patriot missiles.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the attack was directed at the town of Vyshneve, which is about 20 km outside Kyiv. Six of the victims were in Vyshneve.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\udde6 The strike on Vyshneve destroyed nearly five streets, and around 500 people were evacuated due to a bomb threat. The photo is quite graphic in that it shows the family members bunched together and crushed under the debris of the building. So I won\u2019t embed it, but you can see it at the link below. <\/p>\n<p>There has long been a debate about such war photos and whether they need to be seen despite the graphic nature. It reminds me of the iconic photos from Vietnam of the naked girl running from an attack and the VietCong prisoner being executed point blank by a South Vietnamese official.
