{"id":21436,"date":"2026-07-27T06:43:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T06:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ukraine\/21436\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T06:43:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T06:43:08","slug":"ukraine-claims-strikes-on-ships-carrying-military-cargo-between-russia-iran","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ukraine\/21436\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine claims strikes on ships carrying military cargo between Russia, Iran"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ukraine says it has attacked vessels in the Caspian Sea used to transfer military cargo between Russia and Iran.<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday that Ukrainian forces also struck a logistics facility in Yekaterinburg in central Russia.<\/p>\n<p>The attacks came as Ukraine steps up efforts to disrupt Russian supply chains to weaken its fighting capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Iran&#8217;s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Ukraine, saying it had struck an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea. They called it a violation of international law. The ministry said the attack killed one sailor and injured another.<\/p>\n<p>Iran says it has never intervened in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Tehran criticized Ukraine, saying Kyiv is seeking to expand the war.<\/p>\n<p>The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said on Sunday that it also hit energy- and military-related facilities in Crimea. It claims the sites were being used for Russian refueling efforts and for controlling drones.
