Drone attacks
\nkilled at least six people across Russia and Ukraine overnight into Tuesday,
\naccording to officials on both sides. <\/p>\n
Russia<\/p>\n
Five people
\nwere killed, and six others were wounded in the attack on the Moscow region,
\nthe area surrounding the Russian capital, regional governor Andrei Vorobyov
\nsaid on Max, a Russian messaging platform, adding that air defense forces
\nrepelled the strike early Tuesday.<\/p>\n
All those
\naffected were receiving medical care, Vorobyov said, without identifying the
\nspecific locations struck or the drones’ origin.<\/p>\n
Drones also
\ntargeted a storage facility near St. Petersburg, Russia’s second-largest city,
\naccording to Alexander Drozdenko, governor of the Leningrad region, which
\nsurrounds the city. <\/p>\n
Ukraine<\/p>\n
In Mykolaiv, an
\n89-year-old woman was killed and seven other people were wounded in an
\novernight Russian strike on a residential area, according to the city’s mayor,
\nOleksandr Sienkevych. <\/p>\n
Private homes
\nand apartment buildings sustained significant damage. <\/p>\n
The strike
\nfollowed a Russian attack on the city on Monday that damaged two civilian
\nvessels.<\/p>\n

\nCasualties<\/p>\n
The general
\nstaff of Ukraine’s armed forces stated that Russian military losses since the
\nstart of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, had reached
\napproximately 1,451,750 personnel killed or wounded, including 1,240 over the
\nprevious 24 hours, according to the Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform. The
\nfigures are Kyiv’s own accounting and could not be independently verified.<\/p>\n
Ukrainian
\nPresident Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that about 50,000 Ukrainian service members
\nhad been killed and roughly 400,000 wounded. <\/p>\n
Russia has not
\nofficially published its military casualty figures since the beginning of the
