President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the drone attacks killed three people<\/a> \u2014 a 3-year-old child and the child\u2019s grandparents \u2014\u00a0in a village in the Kyiv region. The six ballistic missiles struck civilian infrastructure in Kyiv, killing one person, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore pressure is needed. New sanctions that will prevent the production of these ballistic missiles,\u201d Zelenskyy said on X. \u201cAnd we definitely need more protection for our people,\u201d he added, appealing to allies to provide missile interceptors to strengthen Ukraine\u2019s defenses against Russia\u2019s aerial assault.<\/p>\n

In the Zaporizhzhia region, in southeast Ukraine, three people were killed and four were wounded following the overnight attack, regional governor Ivan Fedorov\u00a0said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A further five people were killed and nearly 50 people wounded in the regions of Kharkiv<\/a>, Donetsk<\/a> and Kherson<\/a>, according to regional authorities.<\/p>\n

Separately, Zelenskyy visited Serbia<\/a> on Saturday \u2014 his first trip to the country since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine \u2014 to meet with President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 and Prime Minister \u0110uro Macut.<\/p>\n

Zelenskyy said the talks had focused on<\/a> rebuilding infrastructure, readying a free-trade agreement this year, and preparing for the winter to come.<\/p>\n
