A Ukrainian drone attack killed one person and injured two others in\u00a0the southwestern\u00a0Voronezh region, local officials said Tuesday, with online retailer Wildberries saying that a fire broke out at one of its logistics centers during the air assault.<\/p>\n
Voronezh region Governor Alexander Gusev said<\/a> a 49-year-old man died after being hospitalized for injuries he sustained from falling drone debris. He said two others,\u00a0one of whom had been at a \u201clarge logistics center\u201d during the attack, remained hospitalized.<\/p>\n Wildberries confirmed<\/a> that its logistics center was struck and said it evacuated all of its employees. The company later said<\/a>\u00a0firefighters managed to put out a blaze that erupted at the facility, adding that \u201cmost\u201d of the goods stored there were undamaged.<\/p>\n Separately, in the Orenburg region near the border with Kazakhstan, local authorities\u00a0said<\/a> a Ukrainian drone attack sparked a fire at an \u201cindustrial enterprise.\u201d No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n Unverified reports\u00a0identified<\/a> the target of the Orenburg attack as the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery, located around 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) away from the border with Ukraine. Ukraine has repeatedly\u00a0targeted<\/a>\u00a0the facility since the 2022 invasion.<\/p>\n Owned by businessman Mikhail Gutseriyev\u2019s Safmar Group, Orsknefteorgsintez is one of Russia\u2019s leading refineries with an annual processing capacity of 6.6 million metric tons. The facility produces about 30 types of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, bitumen and fuel oil.<\/p>\n
