Ukrenergo, Ukraine’s national power grid operator, said outages were reported in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions.

Due to adverse weather conditions (thunderstorms and strong wind gusts), 300 settlements in six regions – the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions – were completely or partially left without electricity as of this morning. Regional power company repair crews are already restoring the damaged power lines

– according to a statement by Ukrenergo

Restoring Power Supply After the Storm

Regional power company crews are repairing weather-damaged lines and restoring electricity to consumers. Work is underway in all regions affected by emergency outages.

In addition, new power disruptions occurred following Russian attacks in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions. Energy workers are restoring the grid where repair work does not pose a threat to staff safety.

Electricity Consumption on August 19

As of 9:30 a.m. on August 19, electricity consumption was 9.5% lower than at the same time the previous day. Ukrenergo attributed this to lower temperatures across the country and clear weather in most regions, which supports electricity generation by solar power plants.

To reduce the strain on the power system, consumers are advised to schedule active use of high-power electrical appliances between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently during this period. No power outage schedules are forecast for August 19.

Repair crews are working across several regions, while a separate energy trend is easing pressure on the national…

[3
10905,10906,82,10907,10908,8104,10904,5173
post-30296","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news","tag-electricity-restoration","tag-energy-consumption","tag-news","tag-scheduled-blackouts","tag-storm-damage","tag-ukraine-power-outages","tag-ukraine-power-outages-ukrenergo-storm-damage-electricity-restoration-energy-consumption-scheduled-blackouts","tag-ukrenergo
["GET
