Aug 19 (Reuters) – A suspected sabotage attack at a building used by Estonian defence contractor Milrem \u200cRobotics has not disrupted the company’s deliveries \u200cof robotic military vehicles to Ukraine, its chief executive said on \u200bWednesday.<\/p>\n
Estonian authorities are investigating whether Russia was behind the suspected arson attack at the Tallinn site, with Prime Minister Kristen Michal saying possible Russian involvement is among \u200cthe lines of \u2060inquiry.<\/p>\n
Suspects have been identified, but investigators have not established responsibility.<\/p>\n
“Nothing really disturbs our deliveries \u2060this year or next year,” Milrem Chief Executive Kuldar V\u00e4\u00e4rsi told Reuters.<\/p>\n
Milrem is one of only two foreign \u200bsuppliers with \u200bunmanned ground vehicle fleets \u200bin active service in \u200cUkraine, according to V\u00e4\u00e4rsi, and expects to have more than 200 robotic systems deployed in the country by the end of this year.<\/p>\n
The incident has not affected the company’s production, supply chain or delivery schedules \u200cat a time when European \u200bgovernments are seeking to expand \u200bdefence manufacturing and \u200bsustain military support for Ukraine, he said.<\/p>\n
The \u200ccase is the latest in \u200ba series \u200bof suspected Russian hybrid operations targeting infrastructure, logistics networks and military-related businesses across Europe linked to support \u200bfor Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Russia \u200chas repeatedly denied Western allegations of sabotage and \u200bother hybrid activities in Europe.<\/p>\n
